5 Apps to Help Mom’s Remember Everything During the Back-to-School Season

Between that just-announced work meetings, kids going back to school and weekend brunch with friends, sometimes remembering the important stuff can be a little hard. We’ve collected a few helpful apps to make managing the stress of back-to-school season a bit easier through smartphone apps instead of sticking Post-it notes everywhere. It’s time to upgrade your life and download these 5 apps that will help you stay on top of things!

The Homework App: Free on iOS
Simply input your childrens tasks and check out your calendar to help them stay on top of their busy school life. Comes with a colorful, simplistic design and replace your paper timetable with the in-built timetable feature, accessible via notification centre. You can also enter your teacher’s details – from emails & phone numbers to office times!

This is one of our favorite school apps – it’s extremely simple to organize as it keeps all the work together, sending notifications to make sure tasks have been finished. When you download this app you can expect that planning homework for your children will become a lot easier, more organized and even a little fun. We love the color coding for subjects, get a glance of assignments coming up with the dashboard, and view your calendar in a few different modes (yearly, monthly, or daily). Of course one of the handiest features is the reminder that you can set on individual assignments so you don’t end up handing in something late.

We do like that as soon as you enter the app your main screen shows a clear picture of what’s coming up. There is no scrolling needed; it’s right there on the front screen.

The Homework App can certainly help you with staying organized and meeting deadlines. I think if you’re the type that doesn’t like the old fashioned pen and paper organizer this is an excellent option.

Wunderlist
For those day-to-day tasks and duties, we need reminders and our ideas are likewise important. Wunderlist is a great app with a brilliant interface that syncs with your phone, tablet and computer, keeping all of your genius ideas in one place.

Wunderlist is good for:

  • People on the go, with multi-platform availability – it’s so easy to have your lists available in a browser, or on whatever device you’re using, Wunderlist has that pretty well covered.
  • Non techy people, with one of the simplest interfaces I’ve seen.
  • Hashtags to manage context – we love how this app lets you use them to show items that may exist in one or more of your lists together in one place.
  • Small teams, with its sharing and commenting functionality – Share, add items, tick things off, add comments, assign tasks, attach files, and you have a system that will allow you to work together without sending emails like “Can you do this?” or “Here’s that file” – and we could all do with less of those

Family Organizer

Family Organizer is a daily planner app that presents your events and due dates in a conveninent format, so you’ll never feel like you’ve left something out.

We like that it is easy to manage your busy schedules, save memories, store favorite recipes, create shopping lists, set your own background music and get more done by keeping all your family matters in one easy app.
It feels more unique as it can be shared with all family members and it keeps a record of all those day to day memories. I like that it allows you to input all your family members details such as birthday, name, etc. Also, it’s nice to be able to change background image and make it more personal.

We definitely recommend this app to anyone who needs a little organizing, and wants to keep everything in one app with the family.

We’ve been on a hunt for an app to replace apple’s clock app and this app is a beautiful choice with stylish features, easy to use UI and allows you to set up custom alarms, remindsers and  interval reminders.

We particulary like the D-day funtion which is rather unique and is sure to be useful for those who enjoy counting down to events.

Overall, I find Timegg to be an incredible useful app to create presets for your more typical and frequent timing needs. If you want a great looking interface with an old school dial look, this is for you!

Peek
Need a reminder app that’s clean, simple and easy to input while you’re on the go? The Peek app has a sleek, colorful interface and it’s great for updating on the go and keeping moms on task.e the D-day funtion which is rather unique and is sure to be useful for those who enjoy counting down to events.

Our favorite for this app is the choices for incredibly charming bells and whistles like a customizable color scheme, an ingeniously designed time picker, and inspiration messages that pop up when you shake your phone! Another clever part of the app to us was the shading gesture to check the time. You can cover the top part of the phone like you’re shading it from the sun, and the time quickly fades into view. It’s one of the many little details that make this app interesting.

This app is for those who seek a casual, minimalistic and colorful calendar app with some cool features like the shading gesture and message pop ups.
